Photoshop closes unexpectedly and without apparent reason

Hello,

My Photoshop keeps closing itself down when I'm using it.It stays on from a few seconds to a few minutes before it shuts down. There is no warning before it closes.

I have updated it to the latest version and the error still happens.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

What is your computer? Does it meet the requirements to run Photoshop? What version of PS do you have?

    Are there any system crash reports for application Photoshop on your system?

    Try resetting the PS Preferences (as c.p states), you can do this under the General tab in PS preferences.

    What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

    Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
