I recently downloaded Adobe Photoshop (through Adobe Creative Cloud). Every time that I open the application, it creates an "Adobe" folder in my "Documents" folder. Within that "Adobe" folder is another folder titled "Photoshop Cloud Associates". I do not want this folder here. How do I delete it and permanently rewrite the pathway?
Go into Preferences, and in the File Handling panel, change the Cloud Documents Local Working Directory.

I have the same problem and can see the section in preferences you are referring to but don't understand what to do now that I have found "Cloud Documents Local Working Directory". When I click "Choose Directory" it simply takes me to the folder in Document > Adobe > Photoshop Cloud Associates. What am I supposed to change it to??? Please note I do not use the Cloud at all and all my work is saved to my hard drive. Help please.

The reason it takes you there is that’s the default location. The preference is provided in case you have a reason to want to locate it somewhere else. If you don’t have a reason, you shouldn’t change it, and it will stay where it already is.
What I don’t know is if there is a way to delete that folder. It might always have to be somewhere.

If you never use Photoshop Cloud Documents, I think the Photoshop Cloud Associates folder will probably always be empty.

If you're working locally and not saving to cloud, it's irrelevant. Just set this:

Thank you to everyone who has responded, and so quickly. It's very much appreciated. I have tried the Default File Location "on your computer" thank you. It has not resolved the rogue folder in Documents but I guess I'll just have to live with it. and ignore it... Thanks again all!

If you look at my screenshot I have that default folder too, and it hasn't bothered me for a second. It's just an empty folder, it doesn't do anything but sit there.

You can change it to something else, but if you never use cloud save, then it will not be filled, so you could leave it as is.
