Photoshop CS quitting unexpectedly

Usually happens when loading a file. Today, the file size was about 100mb.

It has happened with far smaller files as well.

Error message is that it can't load the color book because there is not enough RAM.

I'm running a dual 2gig G5 with OSX 10.4.3 and 2.5 gigs of ram.

This happens when Photoshop is the only thing running.

Problem has been intermittent, but getting worse. Today I am almost completely unable to run the program.

I would give tech support a call. Is Photoshop the only application giving you trouble? Sounds like it could be bad memory.
