Photoshop CS3

I have a 2008 Photoshop CS3 version and frankly I am very pleased with the technology however I have considered upgrading to Version CS5 or CS6. Is it worth the additional funds, and will Adobe provide a discounted purchase price taking into account that I have the CS3 version?

You should be aware that All versions of CS are now out if support and not being updated. The future is the successor product CC, now in its fourth version. This is subscription only, from $10 per month.
