HI, I run Photoshop CS5 (Windows 10), I have to reinatll Windows on Oct 9 2021.  I can not afford a subscrpition.  Phortoshop CS5 works for me, I paid for the product 16 years ago.  How can I get this uninstalled so I can reinstall on the new OS?

Thanks

Which new OS are planning on using?  I ask because CS5 is NOT certified to work with new operating systems (MacOS Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey or Win11).  If you upgrade to a new computer, you need to budget for all new software that's compatible with it.

MODERN OPTIONS:
Photoshop Elements (approx $100, no subscription needed). It's more advanced than CS5 but lacks all the bells & whistles of Photoshop CC

Creative Cloud Photography Plan (approx $10/month for 12 months). Includes the following:
- Photoshop CC and Photoshop on iPad
- Lightroom on desktop, mobile and the web
- Lightroom Classic
- Portfolio website + hosting
- Spark with premium features
- Bridge
- 20 GB cloud storage (upgradable to 1 TB).

Beware of fake Adobe reps who may contact you privately offering to sell you software or take control of your computer. It's a scam, run away! Real Adobe employees will never reach out via Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail or Skype.

You need to change your video. Clearly you were not talking to Adobe - they have not sold CS5 or CS6 for years. It sounds like someone has tried to scam you.

Hi

You'll need to deactivate it from the Help menu first, you can download CS5 from here, just tested and the links are still working.

You will of course need your serial number to reactivate it again, this may be able to retrieve the serial number from your current system

When I try to deactivate I get a message saying cannot connect to the Internet.
