Photoshop Distort/Pinch filter is not pinching towards the center in V24.1.0

On Mac/Sonoma after downloading Photoshop V24.1.0, the Pinch filter (under Filter/Distort) does NOT

pinch a selection inward toward its center or outwardly like it used to.  Has the filter changed.  Is there another filter that pinches to the center or is there a a legacy version available?  Thank you.

It works as always here (Windows 10). What, if anything, happens when you run the filter?

If in photoshop you go to Help>Updates and install the 24.7.1 update to photoshop 2023, does the Pinch filter still not work?

The Pinch filter seems to work as it always has here on macOS sonoma 14.0 in photoshop 2023 (ps 24.7.1)

I'm on Windows 11 and it's working OK on 25.0

When you say 'Towards its centre' do you mean in terms of the layer or document bounds?  Sorry to ask, as I am sure you'll know it pulls towards (or pushes away from) the document's center.
