I just fixed it. Looked on google and found the answer.

You have to click to open Photoshop and inmediately click CTRL ALT Shift at the same time and hold it and a dialogue box apperas and asks you if you want to delete your preferences. You click yes and that is it. It started working again.

thank you all for your answers!

Which version of Photoshop?

Which operating system?

Are you an Individual, Team or Enterprise account holder?

Usually that error means that the PSD file has been corrupted on the disk, though sometimes it means that the file has the wrong extension and can't be read correctly.

Hi Sofi,

I haven't heard of this before. Would it be possible to capture a screen shot of this error and post it here?

Thanks,

- Dave

To restore preferences  using a keyboard shortcut:

  • Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

Note: Using the keyboard shortcut, preference files for custom shortcuts, workspaces, and color settings will also be reset to default.

Hope that you have saved them in the past before you trash the preferences!

To manually delete Photoshop preferences (it can't be launched):
Navigate to Photoshop's Preferences folder:
MacOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Windows 10: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Note:
The user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS. To access files in the hidden user Library folder, see How to access hidden user library files.
https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html
Drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe for a back-up of your settings
