Hi,
I'm writing a drawing application that supports layers, and would like to be able to write to a layered .tif file that photoshop can understand, and translate into layers.
In the tiff 6.0 documentation it refers to the "Photoshop file formats.pdf" file to further understand how photoshop reads and writes tiffs.
This document doesn't seem to be available in the SDK, and the last comment I can see about this is from 2005. Is there any way to get hold of the latest version (or indeed any version) of this document without being part of the partner programme?
Thanks.
Good news. After much back and forth with you don't know how many people I am finally able to post the PDF. No questions asked! I'll attach it here and to other threads for download. Look for it soon in HTML format on http://www.stage.adobe.com/devnet/photoshop/ after I update it with some CS5 information. Also note the "Panel Guide" for CS5 is now live on that page as well.

That document is not in the SDK, but the SDK includes information on how to request the document.
Read the SDK FAQ.

Thanks Chris. Since posting the question I came accross the FAQ.
I'm afraid I still have the same sort of question though.
I followed the link in the FAQ, but it just lead me back to the main page ( http://www.adobe.com/devnet/photoshop/ ).
I had a hunt around and follwed the "SDK Registration" link, and got to the page at http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/photoshop/register/sdk_request.do
This form was there, and though I submitted a request, I'm not sure any of my user details will be attached as I am not part of the partner programme and the menu bar at the top said "welcome guest".
Do you know if it's worth me resubmitting the request and adding an email address to the submission? As, for the moment, without a partner account, the request just seems like it will have floated off into the ether.
Cheers,
D
