When I go to "Filter" - "Filter Gallery", it's NOT greyed out, but when I click on it, nothing happens. Similar issue with other items under the Filter menu.
I've seen the posts regarding the RGB/8 mode but this is not the issue as all my pictures are RGB/8.
I noticed this issue when following along with Photoshop Tutorials and while using the suggested downloads to follow along.
Help!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

When you say nothing happens, does that mean no filter dialog appears or.....?
What version of Photoshop and operating system are you using?

Correct - no filter dialog appears. I click on the "Filter Gallery" menu item and... nothing.
I'm using Windows 11... Photoshop 25.12.0.

Before resetting preferences, can you tell us if you are in CMYK or RGB (or another) and if you are in 8-, 16-, or 32 bit?
The OP clarified RGB/8, but you haven't said.
