I'm a newbie in Photoshop and just starting to self-learn it with various tutorials. I download this pack of brushes. but every time I want to start working with it my Photoshop freezes. I wonder is it for the program or this package or my laptop?

Did you copy the abr-file to Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Presets/Brushes?
What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?
Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
