Photoshop freezes and or crashes my computer

Hi! I downloaded photoshop some hours ago and I can’t make it work. I can only use it for a couple of minutes before it crashes my computer and the message “a problem has occured on this computer”  shows on the screen.

Quite likely the Problem is not Photoshop’s even though it may be the only application you work with that is affected by the problem.
