Photoshop Generative Fill produces different colors at the edges and interior of the selection.

@PhotoW1 this was split because the beta issue is dealing with a different version than the public release. While the same/similar issue - solutions presented for the beta version may not apply to the public release. Beta is now in version 25.3.

That being said - the release was not sent out with a known color issue from beta.

This is a new issue being reported since 2024 was released publicly.

@CoreyShubert Yu made a new thread and removed all of the context. For context, the generative fill produces different colors than the rest of the image, both on the edges and the inside of the fill. This makes this useless. Apparently, this is also an image in PS Beta, but it was released irregardless.

@CShubertStill happens, and I've never used the beta. I might not be understanding you correctly, but are you saying that this was pushed for released knowing that it didn't work properly?

Many of us are having issues with regular generative fill, so deleting the mask would delete everything.

Deleting the mask deletes the entire generative fill...

Same problem, there's just more of it since it's targeting a larger portion of the image. Basically, even more noticeable.

Still a problem for me, but only as of this week. Everything worked two weeks ago. The generative fill also never matches the color of the rest of the image. It's always slightly off, making the outline and the fill incredibly apparent.
