I am running Adobe Photoshop v25.11.0 on an Apple Macintosh running OSX v14.6.1. I use Canon Print Studio Pro extensively to print to a Canon Pro-1000 and Canon Pro-2000.
Please refer to the screen shot below. When I select a Proof Color in Photoshop > View > Proof Set-up; PS does not delete the previous check marks for other proof colors. I am not confident I am always viewing the correct Proof Color. How can I delete all these check marks?

Resetting restores Photoshop's internal preferences, which are saved when Photoshop closes.
If they become corrupt then various issues can occur.

Unexpected behaviour may indicate damaged preferences. Restoring preferences to their default settings is a good idea when trying to troubleshoot unexpected behaviours in Photoshop. check out the video

Before you reset your preferences
in case of future issues, I suggest you make a copy as Adobe may need one to check problematic references.
Quit Photoshop.
Go to Photoshop's Preferences folder

In the Finder, open the “Go” menu whilst holding down the Option (Alt) key.
Library will now appear in the list - below the current user's “home” directory. ]
Now you can drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe as a back-up of your settings.
Note for those on macOS:
Preference preservation is affected by macOS permissions,
you’ll need to allow Photoshop ‘Full Disk Access’ in your Mac OS Preferences/Security and Privacy
If that doesn't fix the issue:
Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - and restart Photoshop.
Still hanging?
Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop.
Do you still have problems?
It may even be time to reinstall Photoshop.
It’s recommended that you use the Adobe CC cleaner tool to remove all traces first.
(See above about preserving preferences though! It’s worth preserving them unless they are corrupted.)

Uninstall Photoshop BUT make sure to choose the option “Yes, remove app preference”.
Once that process finishes, start the installation process and look into the “Advanced Options”. Uncheck “Import previous settings and preferences” and choose to “Remove old versions”.

I am also getting this issue with Photoshop v26.0.0. Did reseting resolve for you? I think this needs to be raised as a bug?

Same thing here with macOS Sequoia (15.1.1) on an M1 Mac Studio. Some people seems to have the issue resolved with Photoshop 26, but here it is not so. I even created a fresh Sequoia volume where I only installed Adobe Cloud and Adobe Photoshop 26, but the problems was there right away after install. I also think this may be a bug.

@brighterpixel Maybe something got messed up over the Mac OS updates and Photoshop updates, Photoshop's preferences are behind MANY issues and unless rest properly may mislead users into rabbit holes of search trying to find solutions. Best reset fully first - see *my notes on resetting Photoshop fully above, please - and maybe try it.
If that doesn't work, it is far more likely to accepted as a bug I expect - which you should report on the relevant Photoshop forum section.
*I've lost count of the number of people who have given me positive feedback in that reset process and its success.

The full prefs reset had been done earlier, prior to trying a new fresh volume, and it did not work. That is why some users began seeing this as a bug. It will be reported.

I think it's a bug. I've seen it after resets and fresh installs, as you have.
I have also seen the check box problem in other areas of the app. For example, I have a layer where Edit > Free Transform was selected a few minutes ago, then I deselected the layer. I reselect the layer so it is not in Free Transform mode right now, but...the menu says Free Transform is checked, which is incorrect. See the attached image. If Free Transform was actually enabled you would see a bounding box around the "8" that I painted. (View > Extras is enabled.)
Also, I still get the Proof Setup check box problem. I just tried it in v26, and I managed to add check marks to all 6 of my custom proof setups in the menu at the same time!
Yes, I reported the check box issue to Adobe...months ago.
