Photoshop instantly reboots computer when choosing the selection tool

How do I revert to an older version of Photoshop? I have a new Windows and Creative Cloud/Photoshop install. Is there a place I can download an older version? This rebooting garbage is not acceptable.

I tried different versions of 23.x.x and they still rebooted.  I uninstalled/reinstalled Photoshop and NVidia drivers.  Clean installs, etc.  And, of course, I spent some time deleting and resetting my preferences because that's so useful.

I tried 22.5.8 and it works fine.  Just like every other app on my computer.  Soo... I'm gonna say the problem is with Photoshop 23.x.x.

It appears this is a problem that comes and goes.  I don't think I had it 4-5 months ago but I can't be sure exactly when it reappeared.  I'm guessing within the last couple months.
