I have been having nothing but issues on my PC ever since Photoshop was upgraded to 23.0.2. Everytime I make a change to a file, I have to hide photoshop and then open the window again to see that change, my rulers have disappeared and I have serious lag times. Any ideas?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?
Does turning on »Deactivate Native Canvas« (Photoshop > Preferences > Technology Previews) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?
What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?
Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Hi.
It's similar for me. I did everything from the GPU settings to "run as admin" and uninstalling all plugins, nothing.
I am able to reproduce the error but I don't know how to get support from Adobe since PS doesn't crash as such, it just freezes (i.e. goes into "not responding"). It's when using the marquee tool on a flatten image to create a black frame (blackground), boom! It dies...
I tried rolling back as far as 23.0, but haven't been able to fix it.
I'd appreciate if anyone has the same issue or/and can help me out.
Regards

Many machine the can run Photoshop version 21 and prior can not run Photoshop version 22 and newer Photoshop Requirements have changes. Some Old Operating systems are not supported, CPU from Intel and AMD need to support SSE 4.2 or later. Apple M1 processor Rosetta can not translate X86 CICS Vector machine code there will be application that will not run on Apple M1 processors.. GPU require 2GB of VRAN and current supported device drivers. Make Sure you machine meets Requirements. Do not remove Photoshop 2020 version 21. None of my PC can have Windows 11 installed even my Microsoft Surface CPU is not supported by Windows 11. You need to be careful when upgradings Hardware and software. Adobe has Published a list of known issues.

Thanks for that, JJMack.
I did review the minimum hardware requirements and I do meet them all.
I'm about to install PS in a different computer and see if the problem persists.

Hi everyone,
After a lot of troubleshooting and installing PS on another computer, this is what worked for me:
The freeze issue stopped for me and everything is running good now.
I had multiple (>20) "in-place" upgrades and I suspect this was the problem.
A clean reinstallation was the fix.
Hope this helps someone...

I had a system crash and after the rebuild, everytime I open any adove product for the first time after a reboot (windows 10), I have to log in The device activation limit screen shows up and list the device by name and also shows This Deice (not activated) when it is showing the correct name of the device I am working on .
The device name is Iquadw10 and shows up as this device.
How can I fix this?
TIA

Sometimes installations get messed up because of the order of how things were done installing and removing and updating Adobe application. You wind up with components, moduals, configurations that do no match up correctly. Application fail all over the place. When this happens the best course of action on that machine is to un-install all Adobe software and download and Run Adobe CC Cleaner to remove all traces of Adobe software on that machine. Then install the Adobe Applications you want to use. If you are installing old Perpetual application you may need Adobe help deactivating machines you had activated and can not now deactivate. You will not be able to Activate your new install till Adobe record of your old installed activatios are reset. When installing Creative Cloud Adobe application you should be able to deactivate all Activation on record and activate the machine you are currently installing the application on.
