Photoshop keeps freezing on me and I want it to stop
I seem to have a bad luck with Photoshop this year, because I've experienced more crashes in 2023 than I've had in the last 3 to 4 years I've been using this program. Specificially, the crash itself will involve the whole program freezing on me, where I cant do anything weather it be saving my work or minimizing the tab. Whats really annoying about this specific crash is that auto recover doesnt work properly. Crash in any other way or my pc turns off somehow, and it will recover whatever I was working on from the moment it happened. That doesnt happen here, and while I have adjusted the auto recover settings from 10 to 5 minutes, it still feels like a punch to the gut knowing whatever drawing or flatting progress I made up to the moment it froze would be gone forever.
Now, I did make a similar thread earlier this year, back when this occurance was far, far worse.... No joke, I would have crashes literally every single week. Sometimes twice on the same dang day. And while it frequency of crashes has mercifully died down ever since, it still happens enough to be an issue. I sincerly miss when crashing was a rare occasion and didnt happen enough to be a problem. Im seriosuly getting to the point that I want to end my creative cloud subscription and use a different program for art if this crap persists. Im not asking to end freezing this way period, but just to lesson it to where it happens far less than it does.
Also for the same background, I have not had any hardware changes that may have caused this. The last one was in August last year, and that was long before Photoshop's performance took a sharp nose dive.
