Photoshop ligatures not working for months!

None of my installed fonts that offer ligatures are working in PS 24.

I can select the desired ligature but it does not apply it. 

Running Mac OS Ventura 13.1

Photoshop 24.0.0 (will not update because off all the buggy updates, and this has not been fixed)

Anyone farmiliar with this problem?

Getting pretty sick and tired of the money grab that Adobe has become honestly.

This issue has most likely been fixed in recent Photoshop releases. Try the latest 25.0. It has many new features and bug fixes. I hope you like it, but if you don't like it, you can go back to 24.0 either by keeping old version when installing 25.0 (advanced option) or by selecting "Other versions" in the three dots icon menu at the end of the application line in All apps tab in Creative Cloud Desktop in case the installer deleted the 24.0 when installing 25.0. 

If you still see the issue with Photoshop 25.0, please let me know the font name that has the issue.
