I have had a problem with Photoshop 2024 for several days. I use it on an ASUS ROG Strix laptop (Ryzen 9 5980HX + Radeon 6800M). Well, it supposedly sees the dedicated graphics card, tests it (everything is OK), but doesn't use it. After opening the document information, I have the graphics mode set to "Processor". In W11 I have PS added to the list and set to hard - R6800M graphics. Interestingly, Lightroom Classic works without any problems and it uses this graphics. Other programs are the same, Topaz DeNoise AI, Mediachance AI Photo&Art Enhancer, games too.
Do you have any idea how to force a raccoon to use a dedicated card?
PS. I have already installed and uninstalled AMD graphics drivers,
I uninstalled and reinstalled PS, checked for viruses (the system was clean as a whistle).

Dual graphics is a never-ending problem with laptops. They will very often conflict. The standard advice is to disable the integrated graphics completely. See section 6 & 7 here:

@Emi Dzemski other Ryzen users have reported that turning off Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) in BIOS resolved similar issues.

@Kevin Stohlmeyer That's interesting. I've noticed over time that there are some unexplained issues with AMD systems that are rarely seen on Intel systems. I figure there has to be an explanation, so I'm gathering up all the information I can find. I have for a while suspected that it might be connected to some "performance-enhancing" settings. I've also seen that some users with crashing problems fixed it with BIOS updates.

@D Fosse yes the team is taking note of the BIOS conflicts specifically with the Ryzen series with AMD Radeon.

PS worked well with dedicated graphic card until last week. It was an update to PS from last week, and I think something has changed within software. Nothing has changed in my system apart from update of PS.

Problem SOLVED!
I reverted to the AMD drivers from June 2023, and everything started working correctly again.
Thank to everyone who wanted to help me with my trouble.
