After recently updating Photoshop I can no longer name my exported files while saving. I now need to save and rename in the finder. I understand there may be a way to name files using the layer names, but this isn't always the name I want to use. Is this just a matter of changing a setting or one more PSD "improvement"?
Any thoughts much appreciated!

I think I solved the problem. Apparently Photoshop was automatically adding a size setting in the upper left corner "Scale All" of the Export Screen, which only lets you "Save" not "Save as" so you can't name the file. (see attached screen shots). I did notice that it wasn't happening when I tested it on a new file, but did so repeatedly on the original file. I'm guessing that I may have accidentally added the setting and PS assumed I wanted to keep exporting the file this way? I've probably wa

I don’t understand what you mean – how exactly are you exporting?

Thank you for your reply. In creating the screen shots I think I figured out the problem. Abobe really excels at making you waste time and feel like an idiot--well worth the monthly fee.
