photoshop resetting the font when i open a typer tools box

When i open a text box with a font selected, the font is reseted to miriad pro.

Adobe is aware of this bug and they say the fix will be in the next release.

The workaround in the interim is to enable placeholder text in Preferences > Type > "Fill new type layers with placeholder text" to preserve the text formatting. The  "Lorem ipusm..." text is selected when you click or drag with the Type tool, so ignore it and just start typing to replace it.
