Photoshop terribly slow.. worse and worse from year to year

Hi there.

I am frog boiled in hot water.

What the heck?

I just used Affinity Photo and EVERY SINGLE THING is a few times faster.

Zooming, scaling, moving, switching layers... basic operations in photoshop work with like 1-5fps while in Affinity I have 30-60.

Win 10, GF 1070, 32GB DDR4, Ryzen 5 1600x.

What is your question to other users of Photoshop?

I'm not sure what scrolling through the preferences was going to prove - aside from your scratch disk space being very low.

Are you using a GSync monitor - if so go to NVidia's settings and disable GSync for Photoshop.

Any reason why you are not using the latest version of Photoshop (22.4.2) ?

What driver version are you using for your video card?

I don't have G-Sync.
I don't run updates in the middle of a project. They often mess up something and cause delays.
I will move to 22.4.2 in a few weeks.
