photoshop type path effect help

Hey guys. i have an effect that i just don't know how to get right

i have this image:

i have to get some text on it and i am trying to figure out a nice way to use the lines from the human figure. this below is what i have but its not looking right.  Any advice? thanks

Hi are you using the pen tool?

yes, used the pen tool to create the line, i think the font was also part of the issue.

Yes, as Eugenio.NYC mentioned, you need to use text along a path. And if you did and still got those results, you need to adjust the kerning between the letters, so they appear more even and not bunched up next to each other.

that helped, yes also change the font.  i dont' like how the "versus" sits on the page but that is a different issue.thanks
