@Kyle39028329tey6 try manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Kglad meant that he has moved your post to the Photoshop forum. It's in the right place now and you don't need to repost.

Hi, I'm running windows 11pro and recently upgraded from 23 to 24 in photoshop. I'm having the same exact issue. RGB, 8 bit, filter gallery isn't grayed out, but when I click it, nothing happens. I've tried "reset preferences on quitting" from inside photoshop. I also tried the method mentioned above, but in windows 11pro, the files are NOT organized in the same way, try as I might, I cannot find the "photoshop preferences" folder. How can I fix this?

How can I fix this?

By @patrick_0125

When the Preferences file is deleted while Photoshop is closed, a new one is created when you re-launch the application. The file was deleted when you "reset preferences on quitting" from Preferences > General. The new clean file will be created when you re-launch.

Deleting Preferences manually means renaming the file so PS doesn't find it (instead of deleting it). PS creates a new one on relaunch while keeping the original so it can be restored.

I'm not sure that you need to do it twice, but if you do, follow the directions from @Ged_Traynor above.
