PNG files not transparent

This files are downloaded form a website. Unlike other files even though it have PNG extension they are not transperent in Ps. What is the reason for this?

PNG files can be saved without transparency. I've seen stock art that includes the checkered background to make it appear transparent. You might check if the PNG is a sample file and they offer a layered PSD. Otherwise, you could use the Object Selection tool (or other selection tools) to select the content and remove the background.
