Trying to allocate more memory resources in PS preferences and when I try to save, I get:'could notsave preferences because the file is already in use or was left open by another application'.

As far as I know it is not in use. I have not changed prefs for ages. Photoshop cc. Win10

Hi John,

That should not be happening, could you please try restarting the computer and let us know if you're able to save the preferences of Photoshop?

Also, what version of Photoshop and the operating system you're working with?

Regards,
Sahil
