Preserve Details 2.0 not available?

I have the latest version of photoshop and it won't let me use preserve details 2.0 and I'm trying to edit an image size while keeping its quality.

Can you post a screenshot of the Image Size-dialog (including the Resample-dropdown menu)?

Is it checked in Preferences >Technology Previews ?

If not, check it then close and restart Photoshop

I had already forgotten that it is still a »preview«, good point!

It's check marked but the feature is still greyed out.

About the only thing I can think of is that you are using something like Indexed Colour mode. What is your image mode with this image?  Is this happening with all images?

Have you tried changing your Bits/Channel under Image/Mode? I've noticed the "Preserve details 2.0" wasn't available at the 32-bit setting, but was at 8-bit and 16-bit.

This was it for me. As soon as I went back to 8-bit it was enabled

You are right Caroline.  People also need to to check Preferences > Tech Previews
