Previous Adobe DNG Converter versions?

Hi, hope someone can help, I am trying to track down a compatible version of DNG converter app (for Mac) as the current version available isnt compatible with my computer.

Adobe, in their infinite wisdom, have removed all previous versions and despite getting in touch with their labourious online chat system their standard reply is 'update to the latest Mac OS'...something I can't do currently - and knowing they do exist would rather not shell out for a whole new machine just to overcome this very simple problem...(Feels very much like pulling LR6 support 'update your computer' seems a standard reply, which is utterly ridiculous).

So, if there is anyone out there with a link/resouce to these it would be greatly appreciated. I run one machine on 10.12.6 (Sierra) and another on 10.11 (El Cap)...

thanks, yes I did find this via a quick google and there are a few there. although I can't find any mention of compatibility or changelogs that go with any versions listed anywhere (if they are listed!)

I need to convert using Camera Raw 9.7 as a minimum for a Canon 5D mark IV

What version of Creative Cloud/Creative Suite are you currently running?

9.6.1 is the last version compatible with CS6.

You can get older versions of the dng converter from this Adobe ftp:

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/dng

Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 DNG Converter 10.5 is the newest compatible

macOS Sierra 10.12.6 DNG Converter 11.4.1 is the newest compatible

Amazing! Thanks, this is just the sort of thing I'm after...why can't adobe have all these available for users of not the latest possible kit is a bit weird/lazy

How do you connect to that?  I'm trying to find the previous dng converter version and came upon this link, but that ftp is user/pass locked.  Is there somewhere to get previous versions of dng converter?  I'm not talking years old...like a few versions back.  Thanks

What operating system are you using?

Do you know the specific version of the DNG Converter you want?

Welll I think I was on 15.2 or something - having issues displaying dngs after installing 15.5 so I'm not sure if converter is the issue or not.  Just experimenting.  I'm on os x 11.7.6

You can click on your desktop click on Go then Connect to Server and paste in

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/dng/mac

then check Connect as Guest

You should see a bunch of Adobe DNG Converters for download.

I have mac OS High Sierra, 10.13.6 and the DNG converter I downloaded (12_4) didn't work.  I am trying to convert NEF files that won't open on my Mac.  Which DNG converter program do I need?

What Nikon camera are the nef files from?

The FTP link given by Jeff will work. If you don't know how to use that, you can download specific versions by manually modifying this URL: https://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/dng/mac/DNGConverter_17_5.dmg

Ex. 11.4.1 would be https://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/dng/mac/DNGConverter_11_4_1.dmg
