I have Photoshop CS6 on a Mac with Mojave (10.14.6).
I used to use an Epson XP-760 printer, and its printer profiles for different papers all show up in the profiles list when printing photos in Photoshop CS6. I have now installed an Epson XP-8600 printer and its up-to-date driver, and no profiles for this printer are shown at all.
I have searched the Epson website and the Net and cannot find profiles for the XP-8600 anywhere. I know there are similar posts concerning other printers in this Forum, but none that I can find specifically about the XP-8600 printer. As it is a well-reviewed and presumably popular printer, I am puzzled by this difficulty in finding profiles for it. Any help will be much apprciated!
Thank you again. The problem has been solved. When I installed the driver for the XP-8600, I had failed first to remove the old printer. After a helpful online chat with an Epson adviser, I deleted all printers and then re-installed just the XP-8600 one — and lo and behold: all the profiles for the XP-8600 appeared!

Most Epson printers will install ICC profiles with the driver. They are stored deep inside a Package where the print drivers are installed. Try using the ColorSync utility which can search the entire Mac for profiles. IF you don't see any, it is possible Epson didn't provide ICC profiles for that specific printer.

That's interesting. Thank you for the suggestion to use the Coolorsync Utility. It found a profile for the XP-8600 scanner function, but none for printing.

An odd thing - the driver only shows up on the Epson EU site.
Apparently the XP-8600 is only available outside of the US and the 8500 is the model sold in the States.
Here are the links to the support and drivers for the XP-8600 and Mojave.

I tried re-installing the driver; and I also tried using the ColorSync Utility, as suggested by TheDigitalDog, to search for profiles, the only XP-8600 one it found being for scanning, not printing. So would you suggest that I use the XP-760 profiles? I have to use something in order to allow me to select different papers — glossy, matt, semi-gloss, etc. Or should I try installing the XP-8500 printer?

I don't think you can use a different printers profiles but you could make a test. Don't be surprised if the results are poor. I suspect Epson just doesn't supply them for you printer.

Again - the drivers are only available outside of the US.
There are two sets of installers - one for the scanner and the other for the printer. Make sure you download both.

I discovered earlier that, as kstohlmeyer pointed out eearlier in this string, the XP-8600 appears only to be sold outside the US; the XP-8500 being the US model. But then I am not situated in the US — I live in the UK.
I have not, though, discovered the scanner driver. Would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction for that?

Thanks v. much again. I had not tried scanning with the XP-8600 yet, having been much preoccupied with the missing printer profiles. But in between posting my request for a link for the scanner driver and now reading your kind answer, I looked into the matter of scanning and discovered that I could already scan (without downloading an additional scanning driver), using either Epson ScanSmart.app, which had got downloaded and installed after my first attempt to instal the XP-8600 when I used the Epson Software Updater) or VueScan, which has always been my preferred scanning software and which already — automatically once more — shows XP-8600 as one of its options (the other being my separate Epson scanner, V500 Perfection). So my single downloading and installation of the XP-8600driver(s) installed both the printing and the scanning drivers.
