Printing Off Center

Photoshop 26.3.0
Lightroom 14.1.1
I just installed Mac OS sequoia 15.3 and my Photoshop and Lightroom prints are off center. I had been printing on the previous OS and everything was fine. All the images were perfectly centered. Right after the installation of the new OS, the prints are now off by about half an inch to one side.
I printed the same image from Apple's PREVIEW application, and the image was perfectly centered. So the issue is definitely with Photoshop and Lightroom with Sequoia. I hope this will be solved a.s.a.p.

Hi @lucien58! š
I totally understand the frustration. Could you let me know what printer you're using and the paper size you're trying to print? Also, when you go to the Photoshop Print Menu, does the image look off-center in the preview? Is it the same in Lightroom Classic?
Thanks a lot!
Best, Alek

Hi Aleke.
thank you for your speedy attention.
I am using the Epson 11880 large format printer, and printing on US letter, 8.5 x 11 paper.
The preview images in both Lightroom Classic and Photoshop are perfectly centered. Both are the latest versions.
This off center results happened immediately after I upgraded to the latest Sequoia version. Just an hour before that, there were no off center issues with printing. So I have to assume it's the latest Mac Os and a glitch with Adobe products. Also, I made a print of the exact image file from Mac's Preview app, and it came out perfectly centered.

Hi @lucien58!
Could you please check in Photoshop to ensure that the correct printer and paper size are selected?
When you have a moment, go into the macOS printer driver dialog box by clicking "Print Settings" in the Photoshop Print dialog box and manually re-select the printer and paper size.
Thanks so much!
Best, Alek

Hi Aleke
thank you for pursuing this topic. I have been making digital prints since 1989. I was a pioneer in digital photography, as I took the very first digital photos outside of the engineers' lab. :). So yes, of course, I double checked everything, removed the printer drivers and reinstalled the latest ones. I installed Sequoia and printed just as I was doing just before, with the identical settings. I am absolutely sure that there is an incompatibility with this combo of Sequoia with the Epson printer driver but only in PS and LR. As I mentioned already, printing from Mac Preview yielded in a perfectly centered image. I hope Adobe engineers can find this tiny bit of code and figure out what it is with the next upgrade. š

@lucien58 is it just poossiblke that you're not using the actual Epson driver, installing the SW is one thing, activating it has a tripwire:
Epson / Mac: Add printer, AirPrint issue, here are some notes about Appleās built in (default) Gimp Print / Gutenprint based printer drivers.
Best avoided. It can print quite differently from the manufacturer's own driver software.
Does the print driver look different? some options have changed?
Are media names the same as previous drivers you've used, e.g.. is 'Premium Luster Photo Paper' mentioned or are the media types just simplified names like matte or gloss?
You'll be aware, I'm sure, that the selected media name in the driver must match the selection made when printing ICC profiling patches, (so the ICC profile and media type selection are linked) . BUT is the media name selected previously actually there in the list?
IF the media names listed differ (and have been simplified) then you are perhaps inadvertently using Appleās default Gimp/ Gutenprint driver rather than Epsonās own. It's not just a matter of installing Epson driver software, you have to select it too. I do know it's very important to use Epson's own driver software. I tripped over this myself on a client site, the driver looked different and I put it down to an OSX update imposed style - took a while to work that one out.
Here's an example of what I'd expect to see in an Epson driver for media name options:
Can you access print settings in an application other than Photoshop, try Preview?
If not, a thorough purge may be in order, perhaps install drivers (downloaded from Epson) again:
1. Delete all instances of Epson printers from
System Settings (or System Preferences depending on Mac OS version) / Printers & Scanners -or- System Preferences>Print & Fax, whichever you have.
2. Then go to /Library/Printers and trash the whole Epson folder.
3. Delete the Epson LFP Remote Panel (IF you are using that utility).
4. Then go to Epson online and download the printer drivers yourself.
Do not let the Mac install the printer driver for you.
Thereās one more tripwire - in System Settings (or System Preferences depending on Mac OS version) / Printers - - - , when adding the connected printer
[i.e. click the padlock, enter your password and click the ā+ā button]
- watch out for the āUse" selection - I recommend you do not select "Airprint" there under "use", but, rather, manually set "useā to the printer name, which will then call on the manufacturerās own software rather than the default Apple driver (thatās based on Gimp Print / Gutenprint, which misses out some printing options such as specific manufacturers media names).
I hope this helps
