Printing with Photoshop

I am trying to learn to print with Photoshop and I am running into problems. I previously did all my printing with Paintshop Pro.

Tonight I am trying to print a photo on 5 X 7 matte photo paper.  Twice it has printed the wrong size even though I chose scale to fit and also the 5 X 7 dimensions.   Can someone give me some help with this and maybe a link to more help with printing different sized photo paper?

Can we see how you chose 5x7 dimension. I do not have that size as my printer is different. Install your printer driver if you have not, os you get all the setting you need like borderless printing, and doubelsided.

Do an image size and make your image 5x7 and print at 100%. Might help you figure out if you have the wrong paper size or is scaling because you can't print to the edge of paper.

I have always used photograph sizes for my image printing with no problem using Print shot Pro.  You can print any size photograph you want.

With Photoshop, I am choosing 5 X 7 and also choosing fit to paper size in advanced settings.  But the preview and the resulting print out cuts off part of the photo.

So after playing around and changing it to 8.50 X 11.00 I get even more chopped off photograph.  Doesn't make sense for the 5 X 7 setting not to work.

@pslane1 I would recommend setting (resizing if needed) your image to 5x7 and NOT using "scale to fit.
