Problems with Graphic Card.

Recently upgraded to Photoshop 2020. Started crashing and Adobe "blames" Graphic device. It is true that if checking off graphic device, it stop crashing, but then other features do not work. I check the device it is up to date and the WIndows version is up to date too. Does anyone have a clue?

Dear D_Fosse

I tried through Intel, and it indicated to go to the vendor. So I guessed it must be Assus, who installed the Intel Chip Set. They also did not provide an updated driver.

I do have my doubts that the problem is the graphioc card, since everything was fine until the 2020 upgrade. But would like your opinion.

Have you tried checking on "legacy composting" ? under Preferences > Performance?

Tamping down the Drawing Mode to Normal or Basic may help if you can't get better drivers.

Restart Photoshop after making these adjustments.

Thanx Gener7. Tried that too and PS 2020 still crashes. I even succeded updating the Graphic card. Same thing. Still I have the feelilng that it is the PS version. With PS 2019, never had problems with the graphic card.

Any ideas out of the box 🙂

Photoshop 2020 has been updated to v 21.0.1, that may help. Windows has been updated to 1909 just a few days ago. I'm running it offf an older Dell laptop using the HD 4000 graphics. So see if the updates help.
