Program Error merging layers

I'm also experiencing the same problem using a 2022 Apple Max 1 studio, running Ventura 13.6.1 using PS 25.1.0.  I cant merge a group without this error preventing me from doing so. I am a finishing artitst and use this function daily and it's causing big problems. Can you Adobe guys address this problem as soon as please!

Hey, @simon23363913ofsp. Welcome to the Photoshop community. I'll help you figure this out. One of the first things to do is to update Photoshop to the latest version (25.3.1) via the Creative Cloud desktop app.
