Program error while editing second image in a row in Photoshop on Windows 10

New Here ,
Sep 16, 2021 Sep 16, 2021

This error has been present since 2020 for me. Re-install doesn't help, wiping everything adobe related didn't help. If I edit one photo and save it, after I start editing the second photo nothing works and gives me different kind of programming error. I have to close down photoshop in between editing different photos. It's time consuming and costing me money. I'ts not the "opening new document programming error that many people seem to have". The error is about what ever i try to do after that one photo is saved and I start editing the second photo. Is there any workaround for this? I've tried the "disable graphics processor thing that seemed to help with the opening new document error that people were having a while back.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind telling us the exact version of Photoshop you're currently using? Have you tried some of the other steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/program-error-opening-psd.html

If the steps do not help, please try running the diagnostic plug-in mentioned in the article linked above & share the logs on the community thread menitoned in the article.

Regards,

Nikunj

I tried pressing the simulate error button and even that will give me programming error. I have the latest version of photoshop installed. up to date. 22.5.1. I have tried rolling back and nothing worked before. I don't wanna roll back again because it didn't work.

I managed to get some code into my cliboard when repeating some actions in photoshop. It kind of randomly triggers the programming error. The photo is when i pressed the simulate error button after opening one and doing nothing else than pressing that. then i opened few more photos, did some work, saved, close one, edited other, got an error. that's when I got the code into my cliboard I think.simulate error.JPGheres the code:
