Some time ago, I updated Photoshop to the latest version and I didn't have any luck with using it so I reverted back to the one I had been using. Last night, I installed the latest version, again, in hopes that it would work this time. To my dismay, it hasn't changed.
When trying to open a file, I receive this error, "Program error while opening files". I have looked at the fixes and am lost in what to do. It all looks Greek to me. I am more of the hands on kind rather than one who knows how to make those "hands on" work. I am using a MSI gaming laptop with Windows 11 Home. If more information is needed, I'll be happy to reply with it.
Can anyone help me?
Kindest regards!
Michele

Hi Michele,
We're sorry to hear that you cannot open files in Photoshop due to a program error.
What are your system specification and current Photoshop version? Are your graphics drivers up-to-date? Is this happening with a particular file type or any files? Since when are you seeing this issue? What all troubleshooting steps have you tried?
Try disabling the generator, Navigate to Preferences > Plug-ins, Uncheck Enable Generator
Check this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/program-error-opening-psd.html
Let us know if that helps.

Oh, and Enable Generator was already unchecked. Will check out the link as soon as possible. Thanks.
