Program error

Hi, I'm trying to copy and paste a layer to another project, I'm getting a message saying cannot complete the paste layers command because of a program error. I've done it with the same layer on a few different projects, it's my watermark/ logo, it has an outer glow, I've no idea why it suddenly wont paste, it pastes fine within the project I'm copying it from just not to others

Hello, if it was using Ps 2021 try updating to Photoshop 22.1.1 as it fixes the issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html

If the update does not appear in the CC app, go to help>check for updates.

Just out of curiosity - can you duplicate the layer to your target file instead of copy & paste?

Is one of the files in Index Mode? If so, go to Image > Mode and change to RGB.

It was 3 months ago, thankfully resolved it myself.

Appreciate the response nonetheless.
