PS 2018: Magenta line trailing brush tool

Anytime I use my brush tool.... no matter what size, since I updated to CC 2018  - There is a nagging tiny magenta broken Line that follows me everywhere I most the  brush...  Anyone else experiencing this??

you have switched on the new CC 2018  AMAZING brush smoothing function !
look in the  brushtool  options .

This puzzled me for a while too, but the answer is: go to Edit, Preferences, Cursors and uncheck "Show Brush Leash While Smoothing".
