ps cs6: mouse pointer malfunctioning...after leaving ps pointer goes crazy and leaves artifacts behind as I move it across the screen. It shakes and changes sizes all the while leaving a comet's tail of bits of the pointer, lines, dashes, dots. etc..

Can anyone suggest a possible solution?  Apple has returned computer saying all components are passing all tests in their repair facility.  This seems to only happen once PS is used.  I have preformed a clean wipe, clean install of HD.  I have tried downloading Sierra and installing Ps CS6 from both internet and original disk.  Problem seems limited to PS as Lightroom5 does not cause the same pointer problem.  Using the trackpad or wireless mouse has no effect, it begins to malfunction in or coming out of CS 6.  I am not on the cloud or a subscription based customer.  This has been going on for a long time and I am now just fed up with the issue.  I am still working with Apple Care and I expect they will soon tell me to contact Adobe....I can hear it now!  Has anyone ever had this or a similar issue?  PLEASE HELP.

Hi Cougar-cub,

Could you please go to Photoshop > Preferences > Performance and uncheck "Use Graphics Processor". Then relaunch Photoshop.

Regards,

Sahil

Nice solution, Adobe Staff. Prevent the performance hardware we pay for from being used in applications that needs it the most. Hey, if it's disabled it can't cause any problems, right? That's quite a solution.

Who spoke of that as a solution? But as diagnositics it is valid.
