I have a very annoying bug on my latest PS running on Imac Pro.
When I move a layer the original position is still visable, pixesl are not redrawn.
it looks like you made copies of a layer! I made a screenrecording to illustrate!
Gpu accel is on! Drawing mode, Advanced, on ATI vega 56.
When I turn off of legacy composition engine it is gone!
Why is this option available?

Same issue PS 21.2.0 MacOS 10.15.5 Radeon Pro 580 8GB.
The layer leaves a stamp and dissappears and reappears on different zoom levels. Legacy Composition was off, and toggling it on and off does not help.

Oh gad. I thought it was just me. This is so annoying since I have to work on several files at the same time. Totally slows me down.

Same issue here plus many more problems. The brightness keeps changing and I have to zoom in and out to get it to look normal again but I think it has something to do with this duplicate problem.
In masking, I cant seem to delete anything either, so I think its because of the duplication problem too. I can't fix it. This started happening today right after this super annoying bug!!! AAHHHHHH!!

So I Fixed the issue by going to
Edit > Preferences > Performance > Uncheck Legacy Compositing

For me that was already unchecked, and neither setting gets rid of it.

Normally checking "Use Legacy Compositing" get rid of this issue. Adobe has been rewriting the core code of PS to make it faster and work better with newer computers, they have left that check box so that people can work around bugs while they implement the new code.
