PS selection tool of objects not working upon selection in version 2017 where as it does in cs6.
after drawing of few shapes ( U ) & then deselection of the layes, selection tool selects the object corners in cs6.whereas in 2017 it doesn't.

I got the solution it was the active layer and the all layer option thanks for the effort.

Hi usmana,
I would suggest you to try resetting the selection tool.
To reset tool:
1. Select selection Tool.
2. Right click/ command click on the flyout menu at the top and choose reset tool
3. Relaunch Photoshop

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences, which you can do in versions CC 2015 and CC2017 in Preferences under the General tab (you have to close and restart the application after selecting it).

1.make a shape with U.
2.deselect the layer.
3.use the selection tool (white pointer mouse) and try to select the corners of the shape,
which in cs6 it's easily done but not in 2017.
the way it's done in 2017 is that you have to first select that layer then your selection tool works fine as it should.
the difference is that in cs6 you don't have to select the layer to select the corners of the shape where as in 2017 you have to first select the shape layer.then the selection tool works
