Ps version 22 keeps freezing on macOS Monterey

Community Beginner ,

My decive is a Macbook pro 16 inch 2019.

MacOS Monterey version 12.3.1

processor: 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

memory: 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

graphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GB

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

My photoshop was working fine about two weeks ago but after updating it, it went to complete shambles! First I noticed that my sample ring for the eyedropper tool was missing and then every time I did a single stroke, the spinning wheel of death would come on and therefore my photoshop would stop responding. I have to force quit every time. I updated again to see if the issues were fixed. The sample ring came back and I was able to draw longer than before. However still to this day! I cannot do any type of drawing for more than 3 minutes as Ps will stop responding again and freeze. And now everytime I  forcequit my workspace resets which is annoying as I don't want my workspace to reset. This has been happening for a few days now and I'm really irritated by this. I already uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing has changed. I went into preferences to give photoshop more memory etc. I just want to draw and do my works normally again. 😪

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. Try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings. You can also reset preferences on quit if Photoshop is running by going into General Preferences>General>Reset on Quit.

(Mac OS only) Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder*, and drag the Adobe Photoshop CS Settings folder to the Trash.

This action only affects the items found in the preferences dialog box. Numerous program settings are stored in the Adobe Photoshop Preferences file, including general display options, file-saving options, performance options, cursor options, transparency options, type options, and options for plug‑ins and scratch disks. Brushes (and lots of other setting) are not affected by the above instructions for deleting preferences. You may wish to make a screen capture of the settings in the Preferences dialog to reset them prior to deleting of this file.

*To manually delete Photoshop preferences:
Quit Photoshop.
Navigate to Photoshop's Preferences folder:
MacOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Windows 10: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Note:
The user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS. To access files in the hidden user Library folder, see How to access hidden user library files.

Drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe for a back-up of your settings

I'm following these steps, step by step but it seems I don't have a library. I'm the only user on this laptop so I don't know if there is a library. Screenshot 2022-04-25 at 17.06.54.pngScreenshot 2022-04-25 at 17.07.06.pngScreenshot 2022-04-25 at 17.07.47.png

If you're on a Mac, you have this Library folder. Again: The user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS. To access files in the hidden user Library folder, see How to access hidden user library files.

In the Finder, hold down the Option key when using the Go menu. Library will now appear below the current user's home directory.

You don't have to empty the trash to test at this point. IF this works then yes. If it doesn't, it isn't this data and if you wish, you can replace so you get the preferences back.

Ok, I'm going to be using photoshop for an hour and draw something, I will get back to you soon, thank you for your assistance! If ps crashes again after a few strokes or before/after 3 minutes then yikes. But fingers crossed!
