I have a Psb file that won't open and loads but ends up saying "Porgram Error" and won't open. I'veupdated photoshop and still can't acess this file. It still shows up on my photoshop home screen, so it gives me some hope that its still there but I can't open it. I'm not sure if its corrupted or what but I'm in desperate need of help!
Any suggestions?

Hey, @Zoe351629000h9m. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.
Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.
Does this happen with a specific PSB file? Where are the original documents stored, internal or an external drive? Does the PSB contain any 3D related layers?
If the file is on an external drive, try saving it in the internal drive & check how it goes.
If that does not help, ensure there are no stale preferences in your Photoshop.
Go to the location of the preference folder mentioned below and rename it to back up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j)
macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.
Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2025 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2025.old)
This will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a new installation.
Let me know if it helps. Thanks!
