Since installing Photoshop CC, I cannot associate PSDs with Photoshop CC. I have tried everything mentioned on other threads.
List of things I have tried
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Photoshop.exe" "%1"
Copy the whole line.
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Applications\Photoshop.exe\shell\open\command
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Applications\Photoshop.exe\shell\edit\command
Then navigate to:
Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.psd\OpenWithList\
if the folder says Illustrator.exe, rename it to Photoshop.exe, and paste the new string in the default again.
FYI, I installed Photoshop CC 2019 while Photoshop CC2018 was still on my computer. The problem occurred after I uninstalled CC18.
See attached screenshots and errors.
Apparently, changing/ renaming .psd folder to .psd_old in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.psd worked.
As soon as I changed this, Default value data changed to Photoshop.Image.20. Before it was Photoshop.Image.19
I am still don't know why there is an Illustrator folder under .psd

There are many Windows 10 registry keys .psd and psd on my system. Not directly seem to point to a particular version of Photoshop.

Setting a particular version of Photoshop to ..shell\open\comman key worked for a number of people. Thought that would help but clearly, there is some other issue.

Do the files have an extension? Can't see one in your image able.
I also noticed that there's a reference to Illustrator. Are the files wanting to open in Illustrator?
I've had a similar issue with other files, had to uninstall both apps and reinstall the one I want it to associate with first.

They are photoshop files. It says Adobe Photoshop Document in Details view.
One of the threads mentioned renaming the Illustrator.exe to Photoshop.exe

Try uninstalling Illustrator and Photoshop, then reinstall Photoshop First.
You might also want to consider using the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to make sure everything is removed.

Still didn't work. I even tried the Cleaner Tool.

Okay, well glad that option worked for you.
I always thought the idea of using the Cleaner tool and deleting apps was to delete things from the registry so it would fix it for you.
