Double click to open photoshop, get immediate message of "Adobe Photoshop 2021 quit unexpectedly." It doesn't even start. Been having the issue for a while (like 3-6 months) and haven't even been able to get my trial version running...

Running Mac OS Catalina 10.15 and have no issues opening other adobe apps. If you want the crash report, I can post it.

Have tried multiple reinstallations of both Photoshop and Creative Cloud, restarting computer, and even tried it on my pc laptop running Windows 10. It crashes on my PC as well. I have looked for other versions of Photoshop on the Creative Cloud app, but I can't find them anywhere. Both computers are up to date and have good hardware upgrades. The mac has SSD and 16 gigs of ram...

Really frustrated...need help....

Adobe Photoshop and added and checked in Security and Privacy. Also did the manual move the the Adobe Photoshop Settings. Restarted 2 times. Still having same issues.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble due to Photoshop crashing. Would you mind sharing the exact macOS version you're using? Are you on 10.15 or 10.15.7?

Please ensure Photoshop has the necessary permissions on your Mac by following the steps suggested in the link beloiw:

1. Go to the System Preferences for your Mac, then Security and Privacy, then select the Privacy tab.

2. Then select Accessibility from the list to the left & check if Photoshop is added to the list with a check mark in front of it.

3. If Photoshop is not a part of the list, please add it by unlocking the window first using the lock at the bottom left, then clicking the + icon & navigating to the Applications folder.

4. Also, grant permissions to Photoshop under Full disk access located in the same list as Accessibility.

5. Once done, restart the Mac & check if it helps.

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop manually using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj
