"choose undefined"

New Here ,

Greetings,

I am working on the Adobe Photoshop Hands-On tutorial : "Get to Know Selections" and everything goes well until I at the 2nd step right after using the color dropper tool. A little pop-up bubble appears at the top suggesting that I should "choose undefined" I have searched through and cannot find what it means. I would appreciate the help! Screenshot 2023-03-24 172656.png

The Discover panel tells your to make a freehand selection with the Lasso tool. You are on the Eyedropper tool. Select the Lasso tool "L" and drag out a selection as the instructions say.
