I've run into a problem recently with some psd templates from yellowimages.com, which hasn't happened before. Whenever I try to edit a psb file contained within the psd I'm hit with the title above when trying to save. Now the changes take effect within the psb file and shows on the psd but it disables the smart filter (liquify). I also receive the message whenever I try to duplicate any layers within the psd file.

Can anyone offer any help? It's severely limiting my abilities to edit within the file.

And there's nothing wrong with the file as it works on another PC and for a friend.

I wonder whether it's something to do with then document size being a PSB. If you made a copy (so you still had your original), then open the duplicate and open Image Size and (assuming the dimensions are linked) reduce the width and save and see if you can then edit the doc then. Just a thought.

I still get the same message when I try to alter the image size, even the canvas size. If you mean duplicate within Photoshop then again, I'm met with the same message.

In addition to what Derek has suggested, could you please try opening a different psb file and check if the issue persists?
Also, does it happen with every psb file or some specific files? If it's a specific file issue, then it might be due to several reasons.

Would you mind sharing the file with us, if it does not contain any personal or sensitive material? As that would help us troubleshoot the issue in a better way.

I've only encountered this with 4 separate psd files, same thing with all of them. I'll PM one of the files and let you know which sections the problem occurs.

I just tried saving it at my end and it worked. It seems like there must be an issue with Photoshop at your end.

Could you please share the System Info text with us? You can find that out by going to Help > System Info inside Photoshop, simply copy all the text and paste it here. That would be helpful for us to troubleshoot the issue further.
