My father recently passed away. He was known here as JJMack. This community was a big part of his life. After retiring from IBM, this is where he would spend a great deal of his time trying to help people as best he could. His strength was figuring out how things work, communication was not. Despite this, he was able to amass 38,147 Posts, 9206 Likes, and most importantly 3437 solutions.
I'm sure his posts will live on and continue to help people. I work with Photoshop professionally myself and occasionally will research a problem I am having only to find a solution posted here by my father. In the future it will be bitter sweet when this happens again.
What a nice tribute. Thank you for letting us know. He will be greatly missed.
Thank you for sharing this. Sad news for the community but more for you and his family.
oh no, sorry about your and the world's loss. I learned a lot from him, specially from his scripting solutions. RIP JJMack.
Thank you for letting us know. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a wonderfully respected and inspirational member of this community.
My Thoughts and prayers go out to you, his family and friends. I always saw him on many posts helping, he will be greatly missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a big blow to all of us in the Photoshop community. JJMack will be greatly missed. And thank you so much for letting us know. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family.
Gosh, so sorry to hear this. He was such an active contributor, and was always looking out for Adobe's customers... He last posted here only three weeks ago. He gave so much of his time, and it made a difference.
Our deepest condolences on your loss. It is our loss as well – he will be missed!
I'm so sorry to read this. My sympathies go to you and your family. JJ will be missed here.
Of course, let's not forget how good a Santa JJ made - as he showed us just a few weeks ago 🙂
Thank you Dave for posting this link. It shows JJMacks talent and heart at the same time!
My goodness. That came right out of the blue! JJ was a proper character and a bit of a hard case who was not afraid to challenge Adobe about the 'very occasional' bug. We'll miss him, but who is going to keep the Photoshop Development Team on their toes?

My condolences to you and your family. JJMack has indeed left a legacy on the forum and with his contribution to the wider Photoshop community with his various tools:
Very sad news. I had some interactions with him over at the PS forum and the thing that stood out was his willingness to help people. Once I posted an answer to a query which did work but Mack came up with his own take on the problem which made me work a bit hard on the solution and this back and forth led us to a much better solution than the one we started with. He had such an effect of bringing out the better out of you.
I hope you and the family find strength to deal with this loss. He will be fondly remembered in these spaces for a long time to come.
I'm sorry for your loss. He was one of the best contributors on Photoshop forum. He will be greatly missed.
I am deeply sorry to hear about your father, JJMack. He was a steadfast and valuable contributor. I have known the pain of losing several people close to me, and empathize with your feelings of loss.
I have to be honest here: I had a few clinches with JJ and a few times I was ready to explode. JJ just hung in there like a pitbull and...refused to budge. He stood his ground.
Later I've come to see that there's a name for that: integrity. JJ had a backbone made of steel. You have to respect that.
On technical matters he knew what he was talking about. He accumulated a lot of "correct answers", probably a lot more than I have! and he helped a lot of people. His posts will keep coming up for a long time and he left his mark.
Thank you for sharing the news, and I'm sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, JJ, and don't take any BS from anyone.
Thank you for taking the time to let the Forum know the sad news.
My condolences to you and the rest of his beloved ones.

You gave us some very bad news, I am one of those who have been lucky enough to have help several times, always available to me. A heartly hug.
