Raleway font acting up in Photoshop only

New Here ,
Dec 14, 2023 Dec 14, 2023

Hi,

I have recently been attempting to work on a Photoshop file while offline during a plane journey. I utilised Raleway fonts downloaded via Adobe Fonts, which were unavailable when I was offline.

Upon regaining internet access, the Raleway font exhibited issues in some styles, but this problem only occurred in Photoshop, not in Illustrator or InDesign. I have attached a screenshot and the PSD file for anyone who could provide assistance.

In the last 4 hours, I have uninstalled the fonts, uninstalled and reinstalled the Photoshop file, and even downloaded Raleway fonts from Google, adding them to the Mac Fontbook. Unfortunately, none of these measures resolved the issue in Photoshop.

Could anyone please help?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Jansen

You are using variable font version of Raleway. The issue you saw has been reported and will be fixed in the future release of Photoshop. In the mean time, please download and use the static version of the font available at Adobe Fonts or Google.

Hi @ktaki,

Thank you for the help. Could you please let me know if this is the correct way to download the static version in Adobe Font? I have pressed this button (Screenshot), and that's what I have received on my Adobe computer by default...

@Jansen5D3A Yes, that is correct. Have you tried it? Do you still see the problem?

Almost two years later this doesnt seem to be resolved. Adobe is a joke. Pushing AI by exploiting artists but dont spend time solving issues

This variable font issue was fixed in the Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.4.0 20240118.r.319 that was released in February 2024.  If any of you still see the issue, please report the details. The screenshots and test files will be very helpful.

I'm also having issues with Raleway when I convert a word doc to a PDF. It converts to Raleway thin and Raleway standard doesn't appear to exist where it always has 😞
