Would it be possible to take a batch of photos, all with differing dimensions, and using a tool, to "recaliberate" their center, so as to allow a given automation process to take place much more rapidly?
For this example, I'll use a few of the images in question:
While these icons may appear to "big" or to "small", they fit within the autmation process I've created just fine, the heart of the issue is just finding that "sweet spot" where the circle crops (the core of the auto') can indiscriminately remove the background.
I am not aware of any method to automate what you require. This can be partially automated via Select > Select Subject, however, it will still require manual edits. You would be better off just creating an action to select the oval shape which will be better than Select Subject. The selection can have the modal control active for manual interactive transform selection, then when committed the rest of the action can complete the task.

Using percent instead of a linear measurement unit will work with different document sizes. This is the goto way when creating Actions, and something I learned from a Julianne Kost video many years ago. As to whether this will halp with your particular issue, I can't say, but one of our scripting experts could probably work it out for you.

Please provide static/non-animated before and after examples of at least two icons (four in total).

I see, thank you for being upfront, @Stephen Marsh, I have dedcided to just simply move the images to the desired location of the work path - it beats having to rehash the same radius per icon, although still very much a manual operation unfortunately.
