Hello,

there is workflow described here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/using/hdr-output.html

It recomends viewing JPEG XL photos in Google Chrome.

But Chrome no longer supports viewing JPEG XL since version 110.

What is current recomended workflow for viewing JPEG XL photos?

Thanks.

Thanks for suggestion. I tried it. It can view JXL images, but it's kinda bothersome. Bridge is obviously meant to be management tool similar to Lightroom and not simple viewer.

I tried searching myself and found fork of Chrome named Thorium that supports JPEG XL. https://thorium.rocks/

I guess that's only simple option for now.

Can you please edit HDR Output (Technology Preview) help page so it doesnt show incorrect information about Google Chrome? I guess you can replace it with Thorium. Or if you know different browser supporting JPEG XL?

But currently the information provided by help page is false.

Thanks.

Thanks you very much for this extensive list.
I hope Adobe updates their help page so people know how to view JPEG XL files.

CameraRaw can do it, but it can be bothersome to open with that.

This is entirely Mictrosoft problem. Buy any Apple product. Both my iPhone and Macbook pro support viewing. I trashed my winodwos notebook for luck of support HDR formats. But HDR on Apple only available in Photos app. Not outside. SDR jpeg xl are working perfectly.
Looks like HDR video is more supported than photos. I will publish my photos in Instagram reels format and youtube videos (supports HDR formats).. Maybe this only way to go. Also HDR video can play on Samsung and some other android devices.

There's support for HDR images on windows, it's just support for HDR on WIndows 10 was rough and only got better on Windows 11.

But for some reason more programs support HDR on Mac than PC >:/

It's annoying really and inexcusable.
