Refining Edge causes endless loading

Hi,

After the more recent updates, I've found Quick Selection can be quite slow a few seconds pause after every mouse click at least) but Refine Edge in the Select and Mask dialog is hell. Usually quite slow but often will cause a never ending loading icon and I have to force-quit Photoshop. I've tried rebooting Photoshop and increasing the Cache levels to 8 but this doesn't work.

I mean it's an old PC but it used to manage these tools in previous versions?

Windows 10

Intel Core i5 760 @ 2.80Ghz 2.79 Ghz

RAM: 16GB

Quick select uses the GPU so try changing your GPU settings in Preferences > Performance.

First try unchecking "Use Open CL".

If that does not work try changing the drawing mode (Basic/Normal /Advanced)

Note - After each change you will need to start a new document to test the effect.
